Fixing thirdgen factory flaws

After reading 3rd gen modifications 101 and reading almost all the build threads, I'm thinking of some more ways to remedy the flaws our cars have before really diving into a restoration/restromod. I'm not talking in terms of performance, but rather preservation, durability, and safety. Items that can be added to the car, NOT AFTERMARKET upgrades of original parts.

I'm thinking SFCs should come first early on, as well as rustproofing/undercoating. Strut tower brace, Neoprene mat and sound deadener under the carpet...what else are good additions?

Re: Fixing thirdgen factory flaws

What you are wanting has nothing to do with history, restoration or originality. Regardless of your opinion of "factory flaws", they are what keep the car original. If someone wants to add SFCs or STBs, that is now a modification. Rustproofing was also not a factory feature. Yes, these do improve over the factory build in strengthening the body and protecting the body, but it doesn't do anything for originality.
