Opinions? Finally wrecked my car
I was driving home from school yesterday when a dog burst out of some bushes along the side of the road; to avoid it and not hit on coming traffic I hit the curb and the guard rail. I got a few estimates today, and took it to my alignment guy who measured it and checked that the frame is still square (it is). How much do you guys think this should cost? What's the best way to go about this? Here's my before and after.

Re: Opinions? Finally wrecked my car
i would personally buy a used bumper, header panel and valence and buy a new fender they are sheep
the pain itself is going to cost more then the actual parts themselves but atleast you will have a car that all together you can do paint later after changing all the parts
beautifull car btw....well before the accident lol

Thanks man... yeah that's what I was thinking about doing. I might have to put a call out on the board for parts.

Re: Opinions? Finally wrecked my car

I ran up on a man a few minutes after he swerved to miss a dog, He rolled his truck in the ditch crushing the cab down to the top of the doors. Once they got the roof off it was too late.
I swerve for NO animals......

Re: Opinions? Finally wrecked my car
I couldnt bear to hit a dog. I love mine too much....
Dont feel bad you saved an animal's life. Trust me, Im no PETA rep, I love my meat as much as the next guy, but I could never run over a dog.
Besides, even at 30 mph, a 50 lb dog hitting the front of your car is still going to cause damage.... and be messy.

Re: Opinions? Finally wrecked my car
I wouldnt have moved as its just not gonna happen with me. Sure I like my dog and stuff but hes never running outside without a leash. Put it this way I was faced with a situation a few years back of either hit a Moose for swerve. I ended up hitting the moose at around 90km/hr lucky I did or I would have killed a family driving next to me. Sad thing is the moose staggered away after that and I hit him with my tractor trailer for work. Truck was a mess and I found the moose eventually in the woods as it bled out.
Basically Ill hit the animal and take my chances over dodging it as you never know what else you might hit instead
