Heard a rumor- IS IT TRUE?

Do camaro and firebird dash pads interchange?

Axle/Gears: 3.42 / ?
The camaro dash pad is notched to accomodate the center vents. The firebird pad is not. I'd imagine that the camaro pad would fit a firebird, but you'd have that notched section to stare at every day.

A firebird piece won't fit the camaro because of the lack of this notch.
