87 SC spoiler, anyone carry them?
87 SC spoiler, anyone carry them?
Ok, 1987 was the last year that Chevy made the SC. However the had used Z28 GFX and gave it a firebird style spoiler. I have that style (firebird) on my car now. But I want to know if there is any place that makes or carries them. Since the 87 SC only had that type of body pieces for a year its near impossible to find one at the J/Y. If anyone knows what I am talkin about fill me in.

I'm not quite sure what you need. That's because the Sport Coupe's last year was 1988, not 1987. In 1988, the Sport Coupe was unique. It is the only SC with ground effects and for half the production run, it came with a low-rise rear wing with integral third brake light. The remaining half have the three-piece rear spoiler as seen on other Camaros from 1987 thru 1990.
Do you need a 1988 low-rise rear wing? I ask because there is nothing on a 1987 that is one-year only, except striping.

Pookey, the last time I heard they were around was a few years ago. you might want to call info for the #. They used to advertise in the Want Ads all the time-not sure if you guys get that in NY. It's called Camaro Firebird shop and it's located in Paterson right off rte. 19. sorry I can't give you more info.
There is an '88 sport coupe "wing" on eBay right now that the seller is claiming is off an IROC (the IROC didn't get a wing, so this is wrong). At least this is what it appears to be since his picture doesn't work so I can't see it. Check it out here
