Re: Time to paint 1990 Iroc
Going with factory color. I don't know too much about paint work but I heard they do good work and that was my main concern. Hopefully they deliver. I thought the car deserved to be painted. I only paid 1200 for it with 79,000 on the clock. That freed up money for paint.

Well, the fact that they are completely disassembling it is a very good sign. It should look better than new when it's put back together.

Looks like they are doing it right, hope it turns out killer. Never tell a shop to rush, but never tell them to take their time LOL

Re: Time to paint 1990 Iroc
Thanks, all pics above are before color sanding and polishing. They have been color sanding and buffing car for the last couple of days and it is really starting to look good. Car will be getting striped soon unless someone talks me out of it. I thought it would be best to put car back to its original form because it is so close and I have other non-original vehicles that are perfect candidates for modification. The only parts to be replaced during body work: all weatherstripping (gm), mirror gaskets, all emblems, parking lights, windshield and striping. Definitely could have gotten the job done cheaper but was looking for quality. Hopefully it pays off if not I'll know better next time.
