First Time Attempting Body Work. Suggestions Please

So I have this crack in the rear bumper that the paint pealed away on. As you can see from the pick I tried to put touch up paint on it but it looks like crap. I figure now is a good time to try some body work because im getting the car painted next year anyway and I cant make it look worse then the touch up paint. ( I hope)

So far I ordered spay primer and paint code matched paint along with a can of clear.

Is there a special type of bondo for the plastic rear bumper? Never really worked with bondo but it dont seem too hard....

So any suggestions what else I need and how I should tackle the problem would be appreciated

Bondo won't work on our bumpers, it's too rigid. Check your local auto parts store or Walmart, they both carry a bumper repair kit. It's a 2 part epoxy that will remain flexible enough to not crack. It comes in a syringe type dispenser that keeps the 2 parts separate till you squeeze it out. Make sure you rough up the bumper good with some real course sandpaper, like 120 grit, so the epoxy has something to adhere to.

something like this?: http://bondo.com/products/automotive...e-kit-280.html

rough up the area, spackle it on, sand it down and paint over it?

That's it. Fair warning though, it stinks pretty bad till it cures.
