If not does anyone know where to get a set of mats that are of good quality and look similar to newer style mats?

Yes they will fit. I have 2001 SS floor mats in my '87 Iroc. Fits suprisingly well.

I don't know if you have one in your area or not, but I picked some up at Sams club, they only have black(what I got), tan and grey, but if they match your interior they're great quality, nice thick cut pile and a awesome plastic/hard rubber backing

I got mine from 1aauto.com. I bought them when I got my carpet from them and they match the carpet perfectly. Good quality and perfect fit. It cost $70 though.
