rear speakers in pillar

I got some new Pioneer 6x9s for my bird, but now those covers scratch against the speaker and make an annoying squeaking sound. I need to somehow modify these so that they fit nicely over the speakers. Has anyone done anything in order to put the speaker grills on the cover?
