My drivers side seatbelt in my 91 'vert locks up all of the time, even during normal driving. It locks up under acceleration and usually won't let go for a while. I am worried it will lock up for good while its fully retracted leaving me SOL. Can I fix or replace it with a hardtop belt? Does someone sell new ones since I doubt I'll find another red one?

We've got the same car but not the same problem.

We've been looking for a complete set (front & rear) of seatbelts for our car for about five months now.
For cosmetic reasons only.

What we found out is that the fronts can come from any 3rd gen car.
Same thing on a vert as a coupe just mounted in different places and you remove the retaining clip that's found on the front seats of the coupes. It's not needed on a vert.

As for the rear it's a completely different beast and will not mount or work. At least this is what we have been told in the past.

Now it's my guess that you could also get belts from a 4th gen or a firebird as well, but I'm really not sure.

Have you tried house of camaro??
He's got alot of parts cars and he might just have one for you.
I think it's houseofcamaro.com...

There's another post on here where a guy put in a 4th gen interior on a ragtop and he bought front belts from some aftermarket place.
It's posted as "check out my new interior from red to charcoal" as the topic heading in this group.

Also try ebay.
I think I saw a set of red belts on there this week.
Do a search on 82-92 camaro or camaro seatbelts and you should find it.

that's me who switched interiors. Go to www.tacreationsusa.com for the belts. I have rear red ones for sale if anyone is interested, but for the front, tacreations should be able to help.
