Can you get ground effects for an 89 firebird formula?

I was just looking at some pictures of trans ams and the formulas. I kinda like the ground effects on the TA. I don't think i'll do it, but can you get ground effects for an 89 Firebird Formula? Just curious cuz i never see any formulas with ground effects. Thanks

Sure you can--but it's aftermarket stuff. Somepeople like it and others don't--I don't.
All depends on your tastes tho.

Actually, it's kind of funny when you look at the car, because there's a lip all around the bottom part where ground effects would fit. Was there ever any option for base firebirds and formulas for ground effects? Maybe it's just a space left without trans am style ones. Sigh...hurts my brain

Try the bone yards. You should be able to find plenty of ground effects there. I know the junk yards here have plenty. And then just put em on, & then paint em.

Nope, no factory ground effects for the Formula, but with the T/A nose and rear bumper cover, the factory pieces would fit. I'm partial to A&A Specialties though...

All firebirds, formulas and TA's use the same body parts which are interchangeable. You are right that groove at the bottom looks like it is where ground effects could be. The fenders are stamped on the same die and TA's just get the air extractor vents cut/stamped out and the proper holes drilled for the mounting of ground effects (different locations for different years). SO if you are willing to do some drilling you can mount any year TA ground effects on any year firebird or formula from 82-92.
And to continue the verification, firebirds and formulas never came with gfx from the factory, BUT formulas receive TA spoilers/wings.
Just since I haven't posted this in a while, here are differences between 82-90 TA's. 91-92's have the "beak" nose.

Oh yeah I got off track you can buy the complete gfx conversion from: www.tacreationsusa.com/conversi.htm

My Ram Air hood is from ASCD. They used to offer a discount to Thirdgen members, they still may.

My GFX are from A&A Specialties. The holes in the front were probably meant to be used as brake ducts, but they were the perfect size for fog lamps. One of these days, I'll get clearer pictures.
