Gear Driven Speedo?

Are all 90'-92' Camaro speedometers gear driven or are they electric? My 91' Rs 'vert is gear driven ( I think, it has RPO D3W ), I need a new gauge cluster, and have seen several advertised as all electric.

Your speedometer is electric. Ratio selection is still made by speedometer gears in the transmission, which is what your RPO refers to.
