power mirror moves left and right, but not up and down?
power mirror moves left and right, but not up and down?
please give me some ideas; i've checked the wiring and everything is connected as well as the insulation on the wires is in tact.
Mine did the same thing till I noticed if the switch was out of the console the mirrors worked perfectly. It is only when mounted that it happened. I took a dremel to the mounting hole around the mirror switch to loosen it up and now it works. Pull the switch out and try it. Check the wires for continuity from the connector on the mirror to the switch one might be broken. Put 12volts to each of the wires in the connector on the mirror and see if it moves like it should. My guess is its a bad switch.

I had the same problem. In my case, the contacts were pretty nasty looking. I cleaned them up and it worked fine. When I finally put the swith back together I broke it reinstalling it (what a doofus!). Check the contacts.
