Glass-beading Z28 wheels?

I have the 15x7 five-spoke wheels on my '85 Z28, and they look rough.
Can you safely sandblast them if you're using glass-bead?

Depends on what you're trying to accomplish. Glass beading will remove the clear coat and smooth much of the surface but for example if there is a scratch in there it will remain even when beaded. Sometimes even deeper.

Usually 180/320/400 wet sanding will remove scratches then polish with tripoli compound and white rouge.

Glass bead works great on them. It will turn them a white powder color and you can paint them easily. I painted my old one gun metal grey and then I polished the ribs and the lip. I shot some clear on them to finish them up and they looked sweet! I got the nice glint off them at night.
