Hey guys, the painter is supposed to start on my 91 Trans Am tomorrow and I just need to get the factory paint code, since I want to keep it the factory color. I believe it was called "medium green metallic." It's a darker, almost a forest-y green. Here's a picture

This chart lists the WA paint code from GM, the Ditzler PPG codes, the DuPont and the Sherwin Williams codes. Only one "green" listed - could be easy.

Goes without saying to choose wisely. Some paint stores will mix up a little rattle can of base coat for you so you can try it on a piece of metal before popping for a $150 gallon. Worth the $20.

 

Best to give him the WA number, or the number that precedes a "u", located on the tag in the console(?), rather than rely on names or colors on a computer monitor.

 

Their was only one Green Color available for 91 FireBird,if your paint is original,it would be Medium Green 45-WA9539.

Thanks so much for the info guys! Unfortunately haps, the RPO sticker in my center console is long gone (missing before I even bought the car) and I couldn't find another vin decoder since compnine turned into a pay site.
