Aero Package gfx-Time is of the essence!

I am interested in getting a set of the Aero Package ground effects for my 84 Trans Am, that was not originally equipped with these ground effects. I was told I have to get the nose and rear bumper from the same car as the ground effects. Is this true or is there a way to mount them using my original bumper and nose?

If you mean the aero package that was on the 85-90 models then, yes, you have to mount an 85-90 nose in order for the fender gfx to "look right" and line up with the molded in gfx of the nose. The same for the rear bumper. The rear bumper gfx are molded in, so in order for your rear quarter panel gfx to "look right" they need to line up with the rear bumper's gfx.

However, there was and aero package offered on 83 Daytona Pace cars AND 84 15th Anniversary T/As as well as the Mecham TA. You do not need a new bumeper and nose for this aero package. To see the gfx of this package just look at the picture below labeled 84. The nose gfx bolts on the regular TA nose and lines up with 83/84 gfx only. You can not mix and match 83 nose gfx with 85-90 fender gfx.

Now if you don't care if it "looks right" then any year gfx will bolt onto the car as long as you drill the proper holes.

I hope this helped.
