Is there a way to tell? My 87 was recently in a shop and they had to replace the rear spoiler, tried to tell me that there was lots of work done on car, they totally screwed up rear and paint orange peel everywhere they touched my insurance is paying for it to all be redone, but my vin history on car comes out clean. Is there a way to tell?

my title is clean also, the only way the title would not be clean is if they went through a shop.

i had my body work and paint done on the side through the shop i work for. so it didnt effect my title.

and check for masking lines, different shades of color. blend lines.. and other small things. stock paint and body work doesnt have any of this.

Chances are, if you can't find it, then it was done properly and not worth worrying about. Bad body work usually looks the part.
