NEED HELP - REMOVING HATCH!!
Just like the title says, hope this was the correct place to start this thread.
I have a 91 RS Camaro that I am parting out, (posted in classifieds), and I can't get the hatch open. I don't have a key, and I have removed the battery and all other electrical components from under the hood.
How the heck can I get this off? I need to sell the hatch, spoiler, tail lights, etc (all available for sale). Plus, I need it off to get some of the interior parts out..

Come to think of it.. I don't even see anywhere to use a key.
I was going to just use a drill and drill out the lock mechanism.
I am stumped...

Re: NEED HELP - REMOVING HATCH!!
There should be a key lock on the centre panel between the tail-lights. It operates a cable that leads to the hatch release. Don't know if it's removable from the outside without breaking things, or even if the cable is operable without the key if you did.
Or, crawl inside from the rear seats and try to remove the plastic to access the release, I've read of guys doing that - search it.
Or - grab a 12v source and apply to the release wire from inside the cabin.

In the boneyards I usually pop out the rear cargo light then reach inside and tug on the cable. This will pop the lock open
