puttin car up for winter what do i do?

puttin car up for winter what do i do?

i am puttin my 88 iroc up for the winter but the guy that previously owned it never undercoated it and now it is just starting to rust th3e original gun metal paint is still underneath but it is startin to rust how should i go about treatin it and is there any other alternative than oil?i was wonderin if i could use the same stuff that is used up in under the wheels its much more cleaner lookin and easier to work underneath the car with some people say the car will still rus with that stuff on it any help on this would be greatly appreciated

My advice to you from PERSONAL experience. Is to spray the bottom with WD-40. The person I bought this car from lived in New York and stored it every winter. She just parked it in a garage and let it sit. It has a little bit of rust on the bottom of it becasue she didn't spray it. So if I were you, I would spray it good.

Bombadier makes a spray that people with Snowmobiles use. It works great, even better than WD-40. Thats been my experience, its not common, we get ours at a local snowmobile, jetski, lawnmower place here in Flint.
