are the camros or the trans am seats a more comfortable ride? i kinda like the cloth in the camaro better than the cloth in the ta. i am staying away from leather due to the price, and cold winters/ hot summers. do the camaro seats come with the 8 way power, and lumbar support as well? i kinda like the look of the 1 peice seat better, and the 2 tone of the camaro seat rocks. so if they are pretty much the same, except for looks, i will go with camro seats. but i need MAXIMUM comfort.

 

The camaro seats don't come with junk for adjustability. Motorized track is about it. I'm very uncomfortable in my friend's SS. I bought 4th gen (leather) Pontiac seats for my IROC, and although they fit like a glove, after a few minutes the bolsters seem to start causing me discomfort. I used to get awful backaches too, but I deflated the lumbar and widened the bolsters and now that part is better. It just takes some adjustability to get them right.

Oddly enough, my GTA seats feel completely different than my 4th gen seats, even though they should be identical. The GTA seats have nice thick squishy padding that I sink right into and don't move. The 4th gen seats are rock hard and I slide all over the place. Wierd.

I prefer the 4th gen T/A seats for comfort and looks.

 

I've only sat in new SS seats, but I've heard the T/As are 100 times better.

I've never ridden in a 4th gen t/a or camaro, but as for my GTA cloth seats...I'll put it this way. I'm getting them reupholstered in cloth for more money than used camaro seats cost. I love these seats and wouldn't switch them out if someone payed me (of course, dollars speak and enough will pay for new GTA seats )

 

I've had 96 SS Camaro Seats and 96 Trans Am seats, both leather, in my 86 Trans Am.
The Camaro Leather seats are softer and very comfortable. The Trans Am seats have a harder, more durable leather.
The T/A seats fit like a glove when you pump up the side bolsters.
The T/A seats came out of my brothers 96 T/A, I traded the Camaro seats with him since the side bolsters were uncomfortable to him since he is a big person, 6ft, 235lbs. I didn't mind trading since I got his Chrome 5 star T/A wheels AND I wanted the T/A seats.

i got tan leather recaro 1983 leather seats in excellent condition and i like the way they feel. they r amazing!!
get recaro aftermarket ones if u can afford it!

 

If you sit the front seats side by side on flat ground, you will notice that the T\A seats set lower or closer to the floor of the car.
