My t-tops leak in several different places and I don't have the cash to buy all new weather stripping is there a quick easy fix for this?

Re: T-tops leak quick fix?

sometimes you can adjust the brackets that the T-tops lock into for a tighter fit. I did that on mine and it stopped most of the leaks. you just have to take off the trim piece which is held on by 2 screws.

Are you talking about the piece that goes across the middle?

No, on the opposite side. Its where the rod from the ttop fits into to lock it in place.

After none of the adjustments stopped all the leaks on my car, I was able to use black silicon to build up the area on each end of the tops where it was leaking. No more leaks.

I'll give a better/more specific fix if anyone is interested.

Does it look good with the silicone?

With the tops on, the fix can't be seen. It is a "shadetree" fix, but if done carefully, it isn't noticable. It can only be seen if you take the top off and turn it upside down. I've used this fix on a number of T-top cars over the years...Camaro, Monte Carlo and Corvettes. Besides, this isn't done to improve looks, it's done to stop leaks.

So should I remove the headliner and put it on the inside or just the outside

We must be on different pages. The fix I'm talking about has nothing to do with a headliner.

That's exactly how I "temporarily" fixed mine as well. Although, I had to build up on the car itself. Around the back top of the driver side window was missing a chunk. I filled with black silicon and then put saran wrap over it and put T top back in place to mold it. Looks decent, but here I am 4 yrs later and still haven't paid the price for new seals like I should, lol. But no leaks in rain, only when I power wash .

I think he means instead of applying the sealant to the exposed seals that touch the panels, he applies it the underside of the panels and lets it dry.

You may be able to clean the rubber seals using silicone SPRAY on a rag to remove all dirt and help the seal.
