Help Door WON'T Close

Ok i go to shut the door and it just slams into the car and bounces open. I think the latch on the door that grabes the bolt on the car is broken, anyone have this happen before? How do i fix it? Need help quick! Thanks Bobby.

Yes, it happenes on more than just 3rd gens. Lift on the handle & pull the latch (that hits the striker) in the door down, or maybe up (I forget),, it hasn't happened to me in awhile. It will move to where you need it though by messing w/it while lifting on the handle.

I usually stuff a screwdriver in the latch and pull out as I am pulling on the handle to release the latch. Been a while since it has happened to me.
