I would like to know too, I tried about 6 mos ago, and bought a book with a likst of virtually all the Firebird Venders in the nation. no go.

Amazingly, about 10 years ago I could have bought them at Autozone. I wish I would have picked up a set. Unfortunately they no longer sell them.

When you find a source I would like to know.

Put me on the want to know list... The only cars I've seen the 'Fuel Injection' handles are 85/86's.. I want some though! Never seen them in wrecking yards though...

They were a GM part, but they are discontinued. They were used on just about every Pontiac product that ever had fuel injection and the same door handles. Grand Am's, Sunbirds, etc..

You might try Ames Performance Engineering in New Hampshire. They have a website www.amesperf.com and several downloadable catalogs. They have a ton of hard to find decals.

Quality wise...I bought a set of trans am decals (the fading checkerboard that run abve the groundfx) and they matched up perfectly with the original factory decals and looked great.

Their phone number is 1-800-421-AMES. If anyone would have them, I would guess these people would.

From what I understand and from what I remember from my parts & Illistration manuals. On the Firebirds, the FUEL INJECTION decals on the handles where used from 82-87 on all cars with Fuel injection (go figure). (except possibly the 87 350 cars not yet confirmed) in 1988 when all f-bodies recieved FI there was no need to have the extra decal on the cars any longer.

I know my 87 Formula 5 speed TPI has them but my other 87 car which started life as an LG4 does not.

This is a bit different but kinda the same. I lost the center cap inserts for my IROC and could not find a decent used set anywhere, and the dealer wanted like 40 bucks each. So I went to a local banner shop (you know the ones that make stickers, posters and banners for car dealers and grand openings and such.) Anyway I downloaded a pic from the net of what they used to look like and measured the cap on the car. They made me a set for 10 bucks, I then went to a trailer shop and got some of those little plastic mirrors you stick to the side mirror to see more, stuck the new IROC decals to them and used the 2 sided sticky tape for the caps, and they look exactly if not better than the factory ones, and did the whole job for 15 bucks,

what Im trying to say is go to a banner shop with a pic of what you want and they will make them to fit and match like new, for almost nothing.
