Well, the mirror itself is easy to get and replace. If you can bend out the metal that'd be best. Also, if you ever take off your door panel for any reason, tighten the the mirror assembly to the car door good. Mine fell off one rainy day and the cable to adjust it broke, which is why I had to be one off ebay for 5 bucks (mirror housing, cable and adjustment **** painted black. Not too hard to find them on ebay.) Hope this helps

The glass itself is $25 new, you could bondo the dent in the housing if it is not deeper than a 1/4 inch. Economically speaking, it is best to get a whole unit from a junkyard for like $5-$10.

The glass is free at a junk yard.

I like becoming frinends with the folks at junk yards. There are a few around here when I come into the office and no other customers are around, I often get, "make a donation to the coffee Fund.

I bought new for mine, I think I paid $28 for BOTH sides. (thats $14 ea.)

As for the housing itself, I personally would look for one in a bone yard that was better condition and paint it (since you have to paint it anyway after you straighten & bondo yours. Since the mirrors are made of Zink, they bend once great, but when you try to put them straight they usually crack.

There are 3 screws inside to remove the mirror assmebly.
