Where do I get discontinued ground effects retainers??
As usual, nothing's easy. My parts came in for my GTA, and one of them is the wrong part. Turns out the right part is discontinued.
Anyway, these are basically impossible to find used because they usually break when you take the ground effect off, and none of the junk yards in my area have ever even heard of a "Trans Am". Anyway, it's the retainer that slides into the passenger side rocker panel ground effect with the 2 studs on it. The studs go through the fender and are held on with nuts from the back side. The GM part number is 1005128. My local dealer called all of the dealers that showed that part, but none had it. Where do I go next?

I know this is going to sound weird but it works go to a RV dealer any place that sells campers or motor homes and what you want is to buy a toilet bolt kit thats right the bolts that hold the toilet to the floor they are ¼ with a flat head on them you can use them like they are or for support use a piece of aluminum sheet metal. I know it sound crazy but it works that’s what I used.
