PMD seats...... how much do they typically go for?

reason i ask is i know where i can grab a pair of red pmd seats. but they're rather ratty, so they will need reupholstered, evidently the local people here arent aware of the popularity of these seats. this car has been in the junkyard for at least 5 or 6 years, so they would need compleely reupholstered.

any idea hw much they would go for?

Unfortunately if those seats have been sitting around in the weather for that long you might have to replace all the foam & everything. Might be cheeper to buy new.

PMD= Pontiac Motor Division. The seats look similar to the ones used in KITT (KnightRider), they have an emblem on them that says PMD. In good shape I know they can bring in a few hundred $.

the car is a hardtop car, but has no doors. perhaps the hardtop might have limited the exposure the seats got to the weather? unfortunately, the f-bodies we get around here are mostly ratty. i can do some searching around if anyone needs anything?

Its not a matter of popularity, its a matter of people that want to build KITT replicas. Without the seats its pretty hard to build a replica. The problem is that most people realize that KITT replicas are gay.

Someone probably swapped them in so they could have power seats.

There's a set of blue PMD's in a junk yard in Pa--been here for awhile--car doesn't have t-tops--it's an 84 T/A--some tears but don't look too bad. I know they sell seats for $20 each--so if you want a set(future plans on re-covering)here they are!!

I sold a set of tan PMDs to a guy for $100. They were out of my 82 before i got my 4th gen seats and black/grey interior. They were faded and a little dirty, but not ratty or torn or anything. I threw in the rears too, just didnt want them in my garage.
