Can someone post a photo of their door hinges? On car please! I don't have mine anymore, and I didn't think to look at them when I had it. I don't know if it can be done, but I want to see if I can make the hinges stronger to eliminate/reduce door sag

Can someone answer the best way to fix door sag? I have heard one way to use a jack and force it to bend back up... kind of like fixing glass frames.. I'm not sure this is a good idea but my wife thinks it's ok because she is in ophthalmology and this is how they fix frames.. Please help!
you can replace the hinge pins and bushings. I want to replace the whole system

If you see or feel movement, you need to repair the door hinges. You may want to have someone do the lift and release while you closely inspect the upper and lower hinges for the movement with a flashlight. If you have no movement at all, yet the bottom of the door scrapes the door sil, then you can use the door alignment tool to re-bend the hinges back into shape. A floorjack won't cut it. You can put a lot more force onto the hinge to properly bend it back into shape with the tool which leverages on the door pin.

I just replaced the lower and the difference was night and day.. the pin was soooo worn down not to mention the bushing were worn.

I replaced mine with the non greasable top and bottom pins that Lonsal sells and the door has been like new for over 6 years now. By the way you "will" need a door spring tool to do the job. You might beable to pry the spring out somehow (dangerous) but you will never be able to put it back in with out it.

I used the same tool from there.. harbor freight tools also carries them. I only did the lower one.. the rest seemed tight and once put back together lined up nice and no play what so ever.. best $8 spent on the car yet! lolOriginally Posted by Ron U.S.M.C.

Same here, just did the pin/bushing thing, easy. I used a dremel tool to grind off the old rivets. Got lucky w/spring, didn't kill me, had a duckbill vise grip tool, compressed it and got it back together., but a spring tool is advisable.
Remounted door on car- blocked up door with shims on blocks. Just snugged lower bolts, closed door w/ window open, then cranked lower bolts super tight, opened, then tightened upper hinge bolts w/ratcheting box wrench.
worked well, door works great now.
