Headliner woes

Lads,
The headliner on my bud's '83 RS peeled off, drooped, sagged & otherwise failed, to the point where push pins weren't gettin' it anymore, so we removed it. He's now drivin' around in a Camaro-shaped echo chamber (Now batting for Pedro Guerrero.... Manny MOTA...Mota...mota.....), so we need a new one. Who makes 'em? Dealer-only item? Man, I sure hope not.
Cardboard, foam & cloth, huh? What the HECK was Chevy thinkin'? Hard to say which is sleazier, the headliner or the rear shock mounts. LOL
As always, cheap is good.
Thanks,
Scott

I got mine at thirdgenparts.com for $10. I do live 5min away and picked it up, but you should be able to find one at a junkyard. At the worst you may have to recover it. If you get one that need recover they'll give it to you for nothing.

how is the headliner board on the liner you pulled down? if it's not too bad, you can throw on a few thin layers of fiberglass and recover it to brand new condition for like $30 i think

When I did my headliner, I took a fine wire brush to the surface to get all the old glue & old foam off. Used headliner adhesive spray for the glue, worked like a champ. ALOT cheeper than getting a new one. Try to get used if you can.
