My car is dying.

I am beginning to feel the effects of rust and such. I am no longer able to drive my car in the rain. The rear fender where the spare tire is located now fills up with water as I drive. Also, the bottom of the fenders behind the rear wheels has become a mass of rust. I am planning on putting in some rust replacement panels this winter. I'll then be able to repaint the fenders back there in the spring. I have no experience in this field, so if someone could give me any information on repairing rust, it would be great.

Well if this was my car I would cut out all of the rust from the wells, then put in the replacement panels and weld them in.Or you could try por-15 to stop the rust from spreading.

Well, the POR-15 is not going to help much. The rust (cancer) has spread too far. It is almost all the way through. I'm going to have to cut it out.
By the way, wht do I use to cut it out? We have a cutting torch, but that is not a nice clean straight cut, or at least I wouldn't think so. But, I am open to any suggestions.

Do you have a diegrinder with an auger bit?
It would take some time to cut the rust out,and you wouldnt hurt the interior with the cutting torch either.
