Anyone install 91-92 Firebird/GTA fog lights into 91-92 Formula?
Anyone install 91-92 Firebird/GTA fog lights into 91-92 Formula?
I have a '92 Formula, which has the front turn signals in the bumper, but no fog lights. Next to the turn signals, is a ribbed plastic trim panel.
Base Firebirds with the ground effects package, as well as Trans Ams and GTAs had a different front bumper, without the ribbed plastic insert, and they also had fog lights next to the turn signal.
I'm thinking of buying these used fog lights:

I would try to trim the ribbed plastic piece to accomodate the fog lights.
Has anyone else done this?

hi chris , sorry man I can't help you with your question... but, you might still remember me from last year
martin (dude with the blue TA aka smurfmobile).
maybe you should check out nethirdgen.org again , the MA/NH/CT crew is way more organized these days and we actually get to do stuff here and there , lol
anyways , I just wanted to say hi

Martin, of course I remember you! I'm going to get over to that board tonight and register, and see what's going on. I just got my driver's license back Monday, so I'm all ready to go out places. See you there!
I've seen a few aftermarket fog lights inserted into the Formula grilles. They were the tiny round ones and made the car look like it had beady little eyes.
The grille inserts come out easily and can be cut easily because it's such cheap plastic. There's plenty of room to install many factory or aftermarket driving lights behind the grilles. You may want to find some Fromula inserts from a junkyard first to practice on.
