you're retarded if your carpet is in good shape. my carpet was shot so i ripped it out along with the headliner. im in the process of building an engine so i can wait. i kind of like it with no carpet, i put blue lights in so when you open the door the whole car glows blue. You could also paint or dye the insulation that's under the carpet and lay that down in the mean time. or you could buy some cheap carpet from your local parts store and cut it up. i cut up some cheap carpet and taped around the rocker panels to cover up the wires. but dude, leave the carpet if it's in good shape.

it depends, if u leave whats under the carpet the way is it then yet. but say if u were to get something shiney or put in some metal floor panels and colored them or something then it might look cool. like stainless or something, but just taking it off, no. unless ur wanting to loose some weight

my $.02

this whole conversation is screwed up. Even race cars don't look that bad. They have roll cages and everything organized inside to look good. If you just rip everything out, you'll like the poor guy in the ghetto who got his car at the junkyard.

I don't know if this guy should be taken seriously or not. At first he seemed like he was serious, but a tranny fluid bottle for a shifter, I think it MAY have crossed the line into sarcasm

And Bret Swan, its SYLLABLE. You've gotten in wrong in two posts.

That carpet also kills alot of your road noise. And what is wrong with clean carpet.... if you don't want it send it my way. My carpet is trashed. And while your at it take out your door panels and send them with the carpet.

If you're not worried about the weight, but want a machine look. Rivet some shiny deck plating in. I've known of people who have done that when their floor pans rusted out.
