Rearview Mirror

I reciently attempted to reattach my rearview mirror with some of that adhesive from the parts store. It worked fine, until I tried to adjust the mirror. The mirror popped back off. I cleaned the glass and the mirror button throughly before applying the adhesive. Any ideas on how to make it actually stay up for more than a week?

Hmmm... I'd just try a different adhesive and see if that works. I used windex and then the 3M (IIRC) adhesive on mine (over two years ago) and it hasn't fallen off or anything yet. Some of that superglue gel may work as well.

Yeah need to make sure both surfaces are very clean, free of grease,fingerprints,etc...attach your piece to the windshield and let it set for at least an hour then attach your rear view mirror...Hope this helps

My dad likes using the gel type superglue.

Hell, I let the damn button sit for TWO DAYS before I stuck the mirror on... I think I will position the mirror BEFORE using the adhesive, that way I don't have to mess with the thing after I put it on.
