Removing paint from shaded T Tops

My 84 has painted T-Tops the color of the car- BUT- there are some peeling areas ...... I want to strip off the enamel from the T Tops BUT not harm the T Tops mirrored surface--- what is the safest way of removing the painted surface . thanks

I think the mirror is on the inside, so you should be ok using acetone, stripper, etc, just make sure it doesn't touch the trim or drip to the underside where the mirror is.
Don't use any metal scrapers or you will scratch the glass.
