Hey, just a question, not a flame.
What made you decide to get a 6 spoke rim, as opposed to a 5 spoke. Was just personal prefference.

I actually think it looks kinda kewl, cause thats the only 3rd gen I've ever seen with those rims...

Camaro6Spd: I'm waiting on your $3000 check to clear the bank... (pssst... that's Cauffiel with 2 "F"'s!)

Kj: I like them, that's all. I saw them in one of GM High Tech mags's "Top ten wheels of all time" articles, and had to have them. They're Mercedes rims (or maybe BMW, whatever) that aren't made anymore (sucks to be me if I trash one). If you look around, all you see are five spoke, everyone and their mother has them - even the mother driving a mini-van. So, yep it was personal preference and the notion of being different.

m3baller: Nope they're staying, not temporary at all. I will eventually get my spacers/adapters milled down a bit to tuck them more into the wheel wells, but I'll stick with those rims.

As an aside, I don't mean to come across as mean about the whole "when are you getting it painted" thing. But remember, or think, about this. That car you see currently has about $18,000 in it. The body is slowly being worked on until it's perfect. Then I'll get the perfect pearl white paint job, with ghost flames. Then I'm going to drive the crap out of it.

The problem is, my money tree has all but dried up and getting the seams "crack free*" is a big time consumer as well. Let me assure you that I'm not a big fan of having it in primer gray, it's just a necessity right now. Sucks but true.

Take it easy,
Steve

*Not sure if you noticed but I've filled in the seams to make a seamless body. Mostly. But getting them to remain hairline crack free is gettin to me...
