How much for interor restoration

whats going on everyone, happy thanksgiving. i was wondering how much it cost you guys to redo your interor, and what things i should need. i wanted to get a pair of corbeau seats a new carpet, headliner (t-top), sail pannel and posibly door. im going to take out my rear seats, so what does a new carpet look like, are there precut hole or anything, also where did you get them from, i wanted to spend 800 on seats and no more than 500 on the carpet and extras.

I think you can order the carpet from Summit for like $100, that's what I plan on getting for X-mas.

I'm interested to see what the replies to this topic produce as I've been thinking about this for a while now too.

carpet cost me like $125 or so....My 4th gen seats cost around $350 for the set - 97 grey cloth. I got all the plastic and doorpanels out of an 89 RS for like $80 (although it it possible to go a lot cheaper on that at a u-pull it). I needed door panels and all because i switched from a red interior to a black/grey scheme. $20 for charcoal door pulls from an 88 iroc

Anyway, guess I spent close to $600

my roomate saved some $$ on doing his though. He got the doorpanels and plastic for like $30 from a u-pull it, and he got his original carpet dyed black. He was fortunate in that there were no holes in it. So he's still under $100 and all he needs is seats. But he's looking into the Mr. Mike's leather kits, so he's gonna jump way up there in price. If you can live with seatcovers, or if you have seats that aren't ripped or stained, you can re-dye them, and you can do the whole thing for like $150

I've been thinking about doing this same thing for awhile. But I always go overboard and that keeps me from doing it because I run up the price. I Still plan to however. I figured: Grey to Black interior.

Carpet: 210 from A1
Floormats: 65 (Found some from a guy these are GM and brand new)
Doors: Unsure of.
All the plastics: Used/new around 300-400.
New dash: 100
New vents: 30-40
Steering wheel (already have)
Console, shifterknob, e-brake handle: 100 or so
4th Leather Seats: 600 (2000 black)
followed with about 300-400 worth of B-quiet sound deadener.
New headliner: 100

Think that's all. These are all rough estimates, I had it all written out at once. I plan to do it before long though.

This is the "budget" I wrote up in my "projects" worksheet for my interior.

Interior Upgrade ü
------------------------|---------------
Carpeting Front.........$130.00
Carpeting Rear..........$80.00
Floormats...............$80.00
Sound Deadener..........$50.00
Seats...................$600.00

Of course, that leaves out things I've already done like the headliner, sail panels, the dash and doors.

Wow, are prices are alot different.
Only thing about the same is seats.

Sound deadener with me is around 300. I will have every piece from rear, to door panels,...everywhere covered and coated. I don't want to here anything but crystal clear music and the light sound of my exhaust.

Well, that's additional sound deadening. I already have a goot bit done way back when I did the sub enclosure tech article, and I still have a lot leftover from that. Hence, $50. I also had a parts car that I grabbed a lot of interior pieces out of, which is why there wansn't any mention of that. And our carpet prices were the same, I just had them seperated front/back (ACC).

one thing i didnt think of was sound deadoner, but that makes sence if you have the whole car apart, how do you plan on buying that stuff for 50$, i thought it was expensive

It IS expensive. I already have a lot of sound deadening done now as well as leftover material laying around in a closet that I can use. The $50 figure is just approximately how much more I will add on top of that when I redo my interior.

The soundproofing is worth it if you don't mind the cost, work, and weight. It makes the car "feel" like a much more expensive and/or modern car does, and less like the rattly metal box it comes as.

I just got done with my interior. I put in a 8 point cage (160 bucks summit), and bought black carpet from 1aautomotive (they are forever on ebay selling carpet sets), search for camaro carpet, and you'll find them. they charged 185 bucks for front and rear carpet, and in my opinion, it is better than new quality. Also, I purchased a set of NEX racing seats, and they are INCREDIBLY comfortable and tough looking (espicially for 300 bucks)! My total project cost me about 700 bucks complete with an 8 point cage. I'd be willing to post a pic or two of mine, but I don't know how to post pics yet on here. (my email is tooogreedy@stny.rr.com) and yes, there are 3 o's.
