I know some 87-88 or 89 GTA's and some Trans Ams from 85-88/89 got some right from the factory, I almost picked one up in a junkyard till I thought it would be more of a hassle than it is worth.
As for aftermarket, I know Cyberdyne makes a set for camaros, but not for Firebirds. I am NOT sure why, I would think that other than the Speedo & the layout, everything is the same.

Cyberdyne does make digital gauges for the birds. There was a guy who had them a while back. I had some pics, but I cant seem to find them.
I plan on getting them in a few years once I get further along with the bird.

Well, I have one in my 1988 Trans Am, it is fairly rare, but I dont know how many were put into the Trans Ams, mainly (from what Ive researched the option was used in GTAs mostly)
Here are 3 pics I took of it. The little system check thing comes in really handy
And the gauge below that can calculate average MPH also
(You cant see those in the pics though, I need to take a pic of them

I've got those gauges in my GTA. I love the digital speedo but I don't like the rest of the instrumentation. I spose the temp, volts, fuel and oil pressure ones aren't bad, but the digital tach sucks. It wouldn't be so bad if it had a numeric readout to go along with the bars, but there's just no precision in it.
When I redo my IROC dash, there's a good chance that a digital speedo from a GTA may wind up there.

At first when I saw a pic that wasn't close up, I thought they would be hard to see. But now, I see they look really cool. The only thing is that the digital speedo reminds me of my grandpa's 91 caddy...... I don't wanna feel old
