Transplant or rebuild...

Ok, i have a bit of a dilemma on my hands. Today I was taking a closer look at the underbody of my camaro (bought it a month ago and storing it in my grandma's garage for the winter) i noticed that there was quite some rust damage. I knew the wheel wells would be a bit rusty on the edges, but when i took a closer look i noticed that under the GFX, inside the wheel well, and underneath the car there is some major rust. Now I didnt have enough time to see how bad it was, whether it was surface rust, went through, how bad, etc. but i was thinking... in a worse case scenario, would it be cheaper for me to go and rebuild the damaged parts, or just find a gutted camaro from a yard somewhere? There is other rust spots on the car too (around the t-tops, etc..) so i think I should start looking for a new car and just transplanting the motor and tranny... this way I could possibly get an IROC

And if i were to transplant into a new car, I really wouldnt have to do any motor work since the guy before me dropped in a new 350 and rebuilt the 700r4 tranny. And with the motor out i could do any other work i wanted to do, i.e. exhaust, heads, intake, etc.

So even though im pretty set on transplanting the motor, i want to get some opinions from what you guys think is feasible.... one thing taking into consideration that im in high school w/ a part time job.

(P.S. - - anyone in Michigan see any gutted camaro's lately??)
