5 spd Leather Shift Boot
Does anyone know where I can get a New Leather Shift Boot? Not the rubber boot that goes on the Trans Tunnel, but the one on the console.

you should be able to get one from www.nextgeneration.com
or you can get a black or colored one for $20 from
www.summitracing.com
and i beleive there is also a guy on www.ebay.com selling them also
if you want the part numbers for the ones from summit i can get them for you

I am not certain about this, but I believe all of the boots were actually vynal. I had a real leather one made for my car, Which is a little nicer, but when new, the vynal would have problaby been fine...
If anyone has a GENUINE leather bootie cover I would be interested to know if it is factory or not...

Is the Summit part a direct replacement? I really don't want to have to go to GM for the part, I can get it for $75 through them and $75 is a lot 'o cash for a bunch of plastic JUNK!

Axle/Gears: Limited Slip 3.23's
The boot in my 85 IROC is leather (as I recall it came from an 84). The orginal in my car, by the way, was vinyl. If you can find a leather one, the clean up is easy: saddle soap, black shoe polish, and buffing.

I got it with a package when I converted my interior to all Leather. There was no specific charge for the bootie.

JC Whitney has a pretty nice leather one for about $16.00. It is a generic replacement in the interior section of the catalog.
