horn isn't working, any ideas?

well, I've got a 91 firebird, so it's got an airbag, and I'm pretty sure it's the horn buttons not working.. one hasn't worked for a while, the other just stopped working recently.. I tested the horns themselves, and they both work.. I read the tech article on removing the air bag.. should I remove the air bag to get to the horn buttons? or is there another way? or something else I should check before taking that apart? thanks

I'd wager on the horn buttons. That happened on my wife's '91 bird, seems to happen on a lot of those early airbag wheels. You do have to pull the airbag to get in there, though, no way around that. Removing the airbag's easy, just follow the tech article. I did the job in 40 mins with no complications. Got the replacement buttons from the local dealer, it was about $20 and some change.
