Just my my car all redone and...............

I just got my car back from a fresh paint job and front end rebuild(posting pics soon, by time i get home from work and school it is too dark to take any) When i had it painted i also had the t-top weatherstripping replaced. Although it does not leak as bad as it did, i still have the leak over the drivers side, front and back. The water comes from where the t-top interior trim meets the pillar trim(front and back) So now what do i do, my dads shop did it, and they told me there was no way they could be sure they would not leak. Should i rip them out and start over with new ones? Help guys, this sucks. could it be the t-top?

mine would leak between the T-top center piece & the rubber seal. I squirted some silicone into the crack put my T-tops in for about a day, came back & no more leaks. I can douse my top with a hose & everything, no problems.

I would take some 100% silicone & anywhere you can peal back the rubber from where it bonds to the body I would squirt some in. Make sure you use some good masking tape (3M) so you do not get it on your paint where you do not want it.

Just some ideas to throw at ya...

Thanks, so your saying the weatherstripping should not be able to be pulled from the body at all? I will get some silicone and see what happens.

Well, That is what I did to my car, & all the leaks have stopped.

really there is no need to give the weatherstrip an opportunity to pull away from the body, that I can see anyways...

Mine would leak from the T-bar piece, To find where your tops are leaking from, take some GOOD 2" 3M take & mask your T-tops right to the car. I did my centerbar piece on both sides & it stoped my leaks, thats how I knew where to silicone...

It depends on where it's leaking from exactly. Is it leaking between the t-top and the gasket, or between the gasket and the body? If it's between the top and the gasket, you need to adjust the t-tops. If it's between the body and the gaskets, then the silicone trick is your best bet.
