Hatch pulldown wiring

Where can I find a wiring diagram of the hatch pulldown motor and related wires. My chiltons manual doesnt even mention the hatch, let alone the motor to hold it down.
My hatch motor doesnt work and i need to know if its getting power or not. Ive probed all of the wires around there but all are 0-volts
so I really need a wiring diagram. for a 1988 formula 350. Thanks

The black wire going to the motor should be hot at all times and the black w/orange stripe one going to the relay should be hot when the remote button is pressed. It's been about three months since i did work on mine so it might be off. My chiltons manual has hatch release info for 91 - 92. I'd check the fuses if you haven't already.

I'd strongly suggest dropping the $$$ for a factory shop manual for your car. Ebay and dealerships are possible sources, you might also try the classifieds here. If you search on the topic you should be able to find a link to Helm, they should be able to supply you one too for a hefty sum.

Also make sure you're using the most recent Chiltons. Its green, with a red RS with Iroc wheels on the cover. It'll say total car care manual on the spine. The older chiltons with the yellow iroc on the cover doesn't have half the information, any wiring diagrams, or anything of substaintial usefullness. Likewise the Haynes manuals are worthless unless you're dealing with an 82-85 4cylinder.

IMHO, haynes are substandard, i only use haynes for their tech books on engine electrical, rochester carb and the like....as for car repair, go with Chiltons and service manuals found at mechanics shops (asked a guy at a shop that dealt with inventory, he was more than helpful in getting me the retailers i needed for those books)

I found an 82-92 Camaro Dealership manual with exploded everything (really helped with dash removal) on Ebay for about 30 bucks.
