Anyone tried the Plastic T-Top drip rails
I just dropped on the plastic set vs the original rubber style. I hope i made the right choice and i hope they don't look out of place from the originals

I run the plastic ones, they do not look out of place like the rubber. This is one of the things the aftermarket got way right.

The Plastic style was standard fare on late 1991 & 1992 T-top cars. GM changed the design with the redesign of the seals... The upgraded weatherstrip for 91 & 92 really are much better than the 82-91 type...

Re: Anyone tried the Plastic T-Top drip rails
I guess it would be beneficial to explain how the 91-92 style T-top seals were better.
The 91-92 style redesign allowed water to travel down the inside of the seal and then drain out the door jamb, and at the door hinge. The improvement meant not only was it a "seal" it also acted as a drain, which kept the leg of the driver and passenger dry. The easy way to tell is look at the seal itself with the tops off. On the corners where the seal met the T-top, roof and door window there are little cups that redirect whatever water is not kept out by the seal, then there is a little hole that allows the water to escape through the seal.
I installed these back in 2000 and it was worth every penny... of course I paid $165 for the entire set (which would be a dream today for OE GM)
