Removing rear hatch

I was wondering how much of a pain it is to take off the rear hatch to make it easier to repaint the metal trim around the glass

Thanks

Re: Removing rear hatch

I used a large cardboard box to set the hatch on and then unbolted it. Worked pretty slick but mine has the rear trunk cover which may have given the box more support.

Re: Removing rear hatch

not hard, helps with an extra pair of hands. Just be sure you DON'T twist it, that back glass is surprisingly easy to break.
