trying to make clear base model tail lights.

before you guys go all " noo dont rice it up" I DONT CARE.

now with that being said in my state i CAN NOT smoke or black out my tail lights i already got a 250 dollar fine for it. so my next option which i have consulted the inspection station is making all the colored parts on my base tail lights clear and puting colored bulbs in it . i have heard you can open trans am tail lights up and there are seperate colored lenses in side so it should be the same for these right. if anyone nice and kind can help it would be apreciated thank you.

Your inspection station should have told you you can't completely white them either. You have to leave the red reflectors as well, not just about lights. You can red out the yellow parts as yellow rear signals are not required in us and no one will notice, although technically ANY modifications to your lights is illegal under fed law.

There is not really anyway to "clear" the turn signal lense for base tail lights. Unlike ta lights, base tail lights are two red lenses and a yellow lense pressed Into a housing while ta lights are all red with a black design painted over. If you want to modify your lights to change the look I would recommend doing the amber delete.

Re: trying to make clear base model tail lights.

Pretty easy, take the tail light housing apart and paint the amber lense from the inside and outside with testors translucent red paint. You should get away with this as the light shining through is not dimmed. Plus many cars have factory red turn signals.
