I just fixed my electric 88 iroc pull down for 2nd time. first was scrap parts and 2nd was with rock auto motor/gear drive replacement with tds worm gear

after about 2 weeks of driving it shattered just going over a speed bump. The whole assembly completely imploded and the worm gear completely is stripped. This trunk has cost me $150 in spares and more time then it took to redo my fuel injectors.

I have a small screw to hold it in place but it is not level or close the trunk completely. My concern with bolting it fixed is the latch will not grab if it is too low to keep it tight to it will be too high to have a small gap

Anyone have luck with bolting? Any pictures of where and what size screw?

Better yet are there places to find a manual replacement? What years of GM will replace this assembly? maybe from other cars too? any place online to buy a manual assembly that works?
