I recently purchased a aluminum billet grille from carid.com and it looks great and all but im a bit lost on the installation. I was wondering if anyone has used their grilles before. The instructions are not detailed at all, and I've looked at it multiple ways and im not sure if its supposed to install over the factory RS grille or not.
It has four tabs welded to the back of the grille and comes with 4 screws nuts and Z brackets, but I cant figure at all how its supposed to mount to anything.

I'd appreciate any input from anyone whos installed one of these before.

Those grills are not factory nor do they use any factory mounting points. Your only choice is to drill through the bumper cover where the grill's mounting tabs are. I have one of those grills on my RS. You just remove the old RS style grill and install this.

 

Hey if I remember correctly back when I was trying to rig mine on there I emailed the company and they really werent of any help. I still to this day dont understand how it is supposed to work with those "Z" brackets.

What I ended up doing for the intended short run was using black zip ties to secure it to the stock RS grille. For the test fit they worked perfectly and surprisingly you cant see them at all thru the grill without getting down looking for them. I intended to remove it again and use metal ties but forgot all about it.
