Notchback jamming up

Notchback jamming up

I have another thread about finding the correct struts for the notchback. Here is why that came about. The gear for the pull down stripped, so I replaced it and the guides. Now it jams. My mechanic says it is the struts (hence the other post) since everything is a lot tighter now. I finally got around to creating a video so you can see exactly what it is doing.

It will go down as long as I push on it, but at the end I have to push really hard on the wing (and that can't be good for it). Iv spent hours tweaking the adjustment of the pull down but to no avail. It does have full travel if I use my finger, so I know it has to do with the hatch. Never did this before the gear replacement.
