What is the proper name of this piece???
I have been scouring the internet and this site trying to find out what the name of this piece is. I have attached an image of the part I am talking about. mine is rusted out pretty bad so I wanted to know what the name of it is to see if I can find a replacement

I have an 84 Trans am are their any differences between the 84 part and the 85-92 part listed on Hawks?

Personally I thought they would be the same for all years of trans ams and camaros. I didnt think that they changed the T bar much but they might have changed it to improve overall rigidity and strength. Who knows.

I've seen a lot of those and I don't think they changed over the years. It's just a piece to hold the weatherstripping and the T-Tops in place. It doesn't help rigidify the body.

Sorry, I wasn't very clear in my last post. I was referring to the actual T Top Bar that's apart of the unibody when I was talking about design and rigidity. I was trying to comment on how the changes they made to the structural bar would have forced GM to change the black piece.
