Can anyone help me identify this Camaro?
Hey everyone. I haven't been on here since I sold my 92 Camara a few years ago, so it's pretty interesting to come back on and see what's happening. I have been wanting to get another 3rd Gen since the minute I sold mine, but I haven't found the right one. A few months ago my father passed away and I inherited his 1999 Camaro. I also have these pictures of his first Camaro and I have decided that I would like to start the search for a Camaro as close to this as possible, but I am having some problems identifying exactly what it is and no one else in my family knows for sure. I was never too familiar with the early 80's models so I am hoping you guys can help! I am thinking it is a '83 or '84 Z28, but I am not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

you need to look for 82-84 z28. they are the only years with that front bumper.

Going on a limb here- the HO 5.0's in the early thirdgens could have the "look alike" flaps, but weren't functional. However, it appears (by looking at the gaps around the flaps) that the ones on this car are functional. tie that in with the skinny silver emblem on the driver's side bumper AND the pattern that can faintly be seen on the passenger seat(same seats as what came in my 83 Z28) I wager that this is a 1983 Z28 with the crossfire injection package.

That is an '83 Cross Fire Z28. The '82 Z28 didn't have a bowtie on the rear bumper emblem. Since it's obviously a cross fire car, that would be '83 only with that bumper emblem.
