One headlight goes up faster than the other

I noticed today that my right headlight is starting to go up a little slower than the left one, but they go down completely in sync. Both motors were replaced three years ago. I'm hoping nothing serious is wrong.

Would lubrication solve it? If so, I assume WD-40 would be the way to go. Where should I apply it?

If I can't get away with it that easily, are there separate gears for raising and lowering the headlights?

If you can't tell, I'm a bit of a noob, so you'll have to talk to me like I'm a six year old.

Thank you!

If you use them a lot, you may need a rebuild kit. Were they new or remanufactured?

They're new. Too soon to be going out, IMO.

You prob. have bad bushings or the motor gear is stripped.
topdownsolutions has rebuild kits and parts you may need

It's weird though … if I were losing bushings or a gear, wouldn't the right one go down more slowly than the left one instead of in sync with it?

I have the same issue with OEM motors although one is original that came with the car and other is out of an 88' with thinking of swapping out the pair with another set I have but in my opinion i'd think the slower one is going bad sooner then later.

I agree with you, although I'm trying to avoid the inevitable! LOL
