Ground Effects

Hey everybody, will the ground effects from a 1989 Camaro fit on a 1986 Firebird? I think it all should work but maybe not the front ground effects. Am I wrong about that?

The side ground fx will fit. None of the rest will.

Re: Ground Effects

You need the mounting rails that are spot welded to the rocker panels for the side GFX also. Takes a little work to get them off but I've done it.

Re: Ground Effects

I put 1991 camaro side ground effects on my 1988 camaro, then my dad wanted my old side round effects on his 82 firebird so I put them on his.

I had to drill a couple holes in the bottom of his fenders and 1/4 panels, and along bottom of doors.

Then also made up some little metal L brackets and used sheet metal screws to attach those to the rocker panels to bolt the ground effects to. It wasn't very hard to do at all
